Sofa re-upholstery in Dubai
If the frame is good, re-upholstering costs less than replacing and gives you exactly the fabric you want. We strip the piece to the timber, fix what is wrong underneath, and rebuild it.
Most sofas sold in Dubai over the past ten years have a decent hardwood or plywood frame and poor foam. After four or five years the seats sink and the fabric pills, and the whole thing goes to the landfill. Re-upholstered properly, the same frame will do another ten years.
Properly means: strip to the frame, tighten joints, replace the webbing and springs if they have gone, cut new high-resilience foam, wrap it, and cover in a fabric that is rated for the use. We do all of that in our own workshop, and we tell you at the visit if a piece is not worth doing.

Sofas and sectionals
Two-seaters to large corner and modular sofas. New foam and fabric, or fabric only if the seats are still good.
Armchairs and occasional chairs
Wing chairs, club chairs, reading chairs and rockers.
Dining chairs
Seat pads and full re-covers. Sets of four, six or twelve.
Headboards and beds
Re-covered in place or rebuilt. See the headboards page.
Office and hospitality
Reception seating, restaurant banquettes and hotel furniture, with fire-rated fabrics.
Loose covers
Removable, washable covers made to fit a sofa you do not want to strip.
We photograph and measure at the visit, quote the same day, collect the piece on a booked date, and return it fitted. You are without your sofa for about a week.

How much does sofa re-upholstery cost in Dubai?
As a guide, a standard three-seater with new foam and a mid-range fabric is AED 1,800 to 3,500 at Home Specialists. Armchairs from AED 900, dining chair seats from AED 180 each. Fabric is the biggest variable, so the visit comes first.
Is re-upholstery worth it?
If the frame is hardwood and the sofa is a shape you like, yes. If the frame is chipboard and the sofa was cheap to begin with, usually no, and we will say so.
How long does it take?
Five to eight working days for a sofa once collected. Longer if the fabric has to be ordered in.
Do you collect and deliver?
Yes, across Dubai at no charge. Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi are quoted.
